Creating the Perfect Wedding Welcome Letter.
Yaaay!!! So, lockdown restrictions have been lifted slightly, and things are finally looking brighter. The lights are back on for many stores and the same can be said for the wedding industry.
You’ll either be picking up your wedding plans from where you left off pre-covid or starting afresh all together. Let’s talk about the wedding welcome suite you would give your overnight guests with your welcome boxes.
The welcome suite serves as an introduction to your wedding weekend. It details your itinerary for the stay (especially if it’s a weekend soiree), information about the area (if it’s an unfamiliar location) and, most of all, it makes each guest feel special.
Let’s see what can be included.
A Warm Note
Write a kind and warm note to your guests, thanking them for making the trip to celebrate this important occasion with you and your partner. You can decide to share any special memories about your relationship, why you chose the location or the wedding theme. Or you could choose to just keep it simple and sweet!
The itinerary for the wedding day or weekend soiree is almost a must have in your wedding welcome suite. Be explicit in the details; date for events, time for dinner, the room for specific events and even dress code. This way your guests turn up on time and appropriately dressed.
Information About The Area
This is your “What’s On” part of your welcome suite. Information about the area, local bars, fun facts, hot spots (especially if it’s a destination wedding). I tell you; your guests will find this section extremely handy!
No one plans to have emergencies at their wedding, but these things happen. It is important to have a designated person at the ready to help if needed. This can be someone in your bridal party, (not your Chief Bridesmaid/ Best man as they should be focused on you) or your wedding planner. The planner would be a really good option as they would already know the ins and out of the hotel, venue and location.
So, lights on! With planning in full swing, be sure to get started on your wedding welcome suite. Remember to have fun with this; make sure it’s in sync with the aesthetics of your wedding stationery (we are going for a cohesive look here).
If you are struggling with putting this together or don’t have the time to, you can reach out to us here at By Araa or hyperlink the word here and we would be happy to help.
